Vet examinations, nail trims, grooming, or administering topical medicine to your dog can be stressful. Dogs that resist physical handling or become defensive during examinations often miss routine vet checks or fail to receive timely care, potentially jeopardizing their health.
Vet visits often occur when your dog is already stressed or in pain, requiring restraint or handling of sensitive areas. Using cooperative care protocols and voluntary handling can make a big difference.
Through virtual coaching, you’ll become your dog’s trusted partner in making vet visits and grooming easier for everyone. By teaching voluntary handling, you’re not just ‘getting things done’; you’re you’re nurturing your relationship with your best friend, prioritizing their wellbeing, and ensuring you stay on top of their health and comfort.
Adding predictability and giving your dog the agency to request breaks when needed can significantly reduce anxiety, stress, and the risk of bites. In some cases, we may opt to condition your dog to comfortably wear a muzzle for added safety during stressful moments.
Online training is great for working on cooperative care and voluntary handling! It allows you to be your dog’s handler from the start, fostering a stronger partnership between you and your dog.
I will coach you online exactly the way I would if I were sitting in your living room.
Here are some other reasons to love online training:

This appointment is conducted virtually, and can be a stand alone appointment.
Building trust and collaboration in high-stress environments can take time. This plan allows for more time to practice several specific vet visit or grooming tasks and can be customized to the client’s specific needs.
This program offers everything in the ten-session package and is customized to fit your specific interest and goals. It is ideal for dogs inherently fearful or anxious dogs who may be working through medicine trials, working with a behavior veterinarian, or have additional challenges that impact their behavior.
