Maybe you’ve welcomed a new puppy and are finding it challenging to set boundaries for both the kids and the puppy. Let’s create a safe environment where everyone can enjoy life together.
The program
All good plans for peaceful co-living with kids and dogs start with effective management and proactive measures. Once I understand your family dynamics, I’ll create a training plan for your family. The plan will consist of:
- A solid management plan.
- Learning and practicing the skills and behaviors your dog needs to be able to succeed and thrive.
- I’ll coach you on how to help your kids follow the plan, and teach them appropriate, fun, and safe ways to coexist and interact with your dog.
The approach
Simply instructing kids and dogs on how to behave or feel rarely works. Providing them with the necessary skills and motivating them by making it fun and doable does. Everyone in the family needs to feel successful to thrive, and everyone needs to learn to compromise a little. I’ve got you!
How will we work on this?
Online training sessions are ideal for busy families with kids and dogs. Imagine not having to cancel a session because your child is home sick or feeling overstimulated; the last thing they need is an unfamiliar visitor. I wish online sessions had been available when I was navigating parenthood years ago, especially when introducing my two Great Danes to children for the first time.

- Online appointments allow you and your dog and your children to learn in a calm, familiar environment, optimizing learning and retention.
- They are more cost-effective and flexible than in-home appointments, eliminating travel time and fees, and avoiding weather or COVID-related cancellations.

- Easy scheduling facilitates quick intervention and prevents undesirable or unsafe behaviors from becoming ingrained.
- We’ll be able to work together, even if you live in an area I can’t get to in person.
- You will be your dog’s handler from the start, fostering a stronger partnership between you and your dog.
- Family members can participate from different locations, ensuring no one misses training sessions.
- Transitioning to in-person training becomes easier once essential skills and concepts are in place.
- I’ll get more authentic information from your dog, as I’ll be able to observe them without being in their environment.

Initial consultation: assessment of training needs and goals. $350
Here’s how we can work together to improve life for both you and your dog:
In this 90 minute consultation I’ll gather more information about you and your dog, and I’ll assess your dog’s training and behavior training requirements. You’ll be given first step management, safety and training recommendations. When choosing a training plan after the consultation, this appointment will included in your training package. This appointment is conducted virtually, and can be a stand alone appointment.

Harmony at home
Six Sessions of laying the foundation for living happily and safely with kids and dogs.
- An initial assessment of training and behavioral goals, with management, safety, and first steps training recommendations. This appointment is 90 minutes long and conducted virtually.
- Five 60-minute virtual follow-up appointments.
This plan will provide you with a clear strategy for managing your kids and dog household to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.
You’ll learn strategies for keeping your dog enriched and comfortable during alone time and when they need to be managed in a separate space, and pick up essential skills for navigating trigger situations. We will also map out next steps.
A comprehensive ten-session program
For successful and enriching co-living with kids and dogs.
- An initial assessment of training and behavioral goals, with management, safety, and first steps training recommendations. This appointment is 90 minutes long and conducted virtually.
- Nine 60-minute virtual follow-up appointments.
- Access to weekly online client support office hours for the duration of the program.
This plan will provide you with a clear strategy for managing your household with kids and dogs to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.
Additionally, we’ll work on strategies for keeping your dog enriched and comfortable during alone time when they need to be managed in a separate space, and work on essential skills for navigating trigger situations. We will teach your dog better communication and coping skills through exercises, behaviors, and games to help your dog make good decisions in pressed moments.
The program will be customized to your specific training goals, and will allow more time for including kids in the training process, and working on appropriate kid/dog activities and games.
